Conservatives Know What Is Best For You!

Conservatives claim to believe in a less intrusive government. Baloney! They want the government to tell gays they cannot get married. They want the government to tell women they cannot abort a fetus even in cases of rape and incest. They are stuck with the fact that Abortion is legal so they are attempting to backdoor their ideology through government by withdrawing financial support for Planned Parenthood. They want the government to authorize their moral agenda with prayer in the classroom, Religious expression in government buildings, and remove separation of Church and State. That sounds pretty intrusive to me!

But a newsflash in Wyoming, the most Republican State in the Union. An Anti Abortion Bill was just defeated by truly conservative Republicans. Wyoming has some real conservatives that believe in less Government Intrusion, and to them this means keep the government out of my doctor's office. Don't tell them they have to read something to me or show me a sonogram. I am an adult and I am not yielding power to the government for my decisions. Hallelujah! Conservatives that actually believe in less intrusive government. And they are from the reddest state in the Union.

Conservatives claim to be concerned with the Federal Deficit. But they fought hard to ensure very unnecessary tax cuts were extended to the Ruling Class. Even when some such as Bill Gates made it clear they did not want or need the tax cuts! They refuse to raise taxes for anyone but want to dabble with the small portions of the budget that have a big impact on the poor and middle class. They want to repeal and cut all funding for the New Health Care Law. The law they like to despairingly call “OBAMA CARE”. And they want to cut all support to Public Broadcasting. But they do not want to cut any cooperate welfare to supporters like the Koch Brothers. Does welfare for the rich and withdrawal of benefits to the poor and middle class really qualify as fiscally conservative?

Conservatives want to reject all science that does not support their ideology. They do not believe in global warming because they do not support the “Green Solutions” it would support. They do not believe in evolution because it offends their fundamentalist Christians friends. They are as backward as the people that arrested Galileo. If Science does not support their view it is wrong and they will spend lots of money if necessary to get someone to sound authoritative to refute Science.

So do not tell me these people love America. They do what they need to win elections, not to serve America.

Now, An interesting study at the University College London's Institute revealed something special about the brains of right wing nuts. That's right, their brains are different. There is a portion of the brain is the source of fear. This is called the Amygdala. We now know the Amygdala was significantly larger and thicker in those people who described themselves as conservative. So could it be there is a true difference in the brain?
